replacing wheelset on a Giant Boulder SE.. (I don't know anything about wheels./)
I own a Giant Boulder SE (2008 or 2009).. and I've recently been in a small accident so my front wheel is completely ruined... So I need to get new wheels.. I used a slick tire on my wheels for road/very light bumpy roads... I have rim brakes and I don't know what I'm supposed to look at to know which wheels are compatible with my bike...
After looking for new wheelsets.. I've been offered the following two
WTB Dual Duty FR Wheelset AND Mavic 317s
Could you guys help if either one would work with my bike?? if not what I should look for when buying a new wheelset? thanks

All you need is a front if you're not concerned about them matching.
Look for a wheel listed as 559mm diameter that's rim brake compatible.
IF you are going to add a rear, you want 135mm spacing.
You'll have to determine if you have a cassette or free wheel hub.
IF you have a free wheel hub, it'd be a good time to upgrade to a free hub, but you'd have to buy a new 7 speed cassette and 4.5mm spacer to use on the 8/9 speed hub.

Hi,
As said you just need a new front wheel. MTB wheels are pretty standard
and if anything the build quality of the rear counts more than the front,
so go for IMO a budget high value double wall wheel for the front.
