Chainring change

Hi, I have a couple of cranks hanging around, FSA K-light and a FSA Force ( all compact) and would like to try a 53/39 setup , But when I checkout ebay and other sites to buy all the 53/39 are a 130mm bcd and mine are 110 mm , not sure what those #'s are indicating ... ???? Will a set of 53/39 FSA 130 mm fit my FSA cranks currently 50/34 110mm ********************

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

BCD means "bolt circle diameter", the diameter of the circle the bolts that fasten the chainrings to the arms lie on. No, you cannot fit 130 mm bcd chainrings to a 110 mm bcd crank. The bolts will not line up properly. There are 110 mm bcd chainrings available in 53 and 39T form but they aren't cheap. I believe TA Specialities offers them.

It might be less expensive to buy a complete "standard" double crank with the chainrings you want instead of buying replacement rings for your current compact crank.

there are low cost 110 BCD rings from, like Sugino, there are higher cost ones too.

Ergal is another name for 7075 alloy , that is what most of the better , machined, rings use

They are. Look closely, and see how far inboard the bolts are from the teeth of the 39T ring. One of my buddies bought that crankset, and I was flabbergasted that they hadn't made it 130BCD.

On second look, it's hard to argue that they aren't 110mm BCD rings. Nice find!

I swear they changed the picture from the first time I looked
