Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

You can't do it. That crank has the chainrings spot-welded in place and there is no practical way to remove them non-destructively and, even if you did cut them off, standard bolt-on chainrings won't mate up with that spider. You need a different crank.

Bikes: 2006 Windsor Dover w/105, 2007 GT Avalanche w/XT, 1995 Trek 820 setup for touring, 201? Yeah single-speed folder, 199? Huffy tandem.

Along with another crank, you'll likely need a new bottom bracket. Even if the new crank is also square-taper, the existing bottom bracket spindle length is likely to be different.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

It keeps getting harder.

Since you're buying a second hand crankset I was going to say just try to buy the bottom bracket that originally came with it. Unfortunately there are two common bottom bracket shell widths so you have to find the one that matches your bike frame.

Everything on a bicycle works together so it's rare to be able to replace just one component without having to do something else to make it work.
