Which BB7 bracket to use on disc trucker front?

The pad in the attached picture looks bad (please excuse the hairy leg). I think the rotor should be engaging the entire pad, not just half, right?



Looking at the BB7 manual, it says that a 160mm rotor on the front (which I'm using) should require the 0mm bracket in the below:

However, I couldn't make the rotor fit in the caliper using the shallow 0mm bracket, so I used a 20mm bracket, resulting in the wear pattern shown.

What am I missing? How do other disc trucker owners get a 160mm rotor to fit w/ the flattish bracket?

Bikes: Salsa mtb * 3, Intense mtb * 1, Abeni SS rd * 1, Salsa road/touring * 2, Trek Damn one * 1, Vintage/projects * many

By putting it on the right way? You need to use the avid cps washers with the bb7, they add some stack to the caliper.

That's the correct stack, with the caliper in the pictured gap. If the rotor is correct, the adaptor is correct and not upside down (refer arrow on adaptor), the pads installed correctly and sitting parallel in caliper, the only other explanation is that the fork mount is incorrect, but this is highly unlikely.

How about some photos of your whole setup?
