Michelin Krylion Carbon

Michelin Krylion Carbon
About two years ago, I bought the newly released Pro4 Endurance from the Michelin Pro4 line to replace a worn set of Krylion Carbons (one of my all time fave training/commuting clincher) because Krylion Carbon had been discontinued. At least that's what I thought. Lately I have noticed Krylion Carbons showing up on line and on the shelves in Performance websites and stores, but they are not listed on Michelin web sites. What explains the reemergence? Is Michelin making them again, did Performance buy the name, or are these overstocks from previous years? I have been happy with pro4 Endurance but have found them to be not quite as puncture resistant or durable as the Krylion Carbons.

Could be some one else, I found out at least two other companies make a Kenda Kwest clone, even in 700c.

Yep, I love Michelin Krylion Carbon tires too. When it was announced that Michelin was discontinuing them, I panicked and bought six pairs (I know, kinda crazy), then I later heard that they were only moving their production to Thailand, as opposed to France, where they were being made before. I still have two sets in storage. I also bought another two pairs recently from Performance on sale (can you tell how much I really like Krylion Carbons), so I now have four pairs stored in a dark garbage bag in a dark closet.
My hunch is that the ones we are seeing out there are really NOS, as the newer set I just purchased from Performance were also made in France.
Great tires, those Krylion Carbons!
