On a related note, it appears that more Americans have been killed by their appliances tipping over on them
than have been killed by terrorism.
than have been killed by terrorism.

...... Unfortunately, the real danger of Ebola in the USA isn't about human health, it's economic. It's very expensive to manage suspected ebola cases. Currently, we have guidelines for suspicion which include possible sources of infection, and symptoms such as fever.
Fortunately this isn't my problem and I don't have to make policy, but I do support some sort of limited quarantine (more like limited travel into crowded areas and reduced/managed contacts, than strict quarantine) to try to keep this particular Genie in the bottle.

The greater the regulation and control enforced on health care professionals the greater the costs will be... and likely the poorer the care.
We have been in the process of entering into a globalized environment for many years. Every new flu out of China spreads to the every corner of the Earth faster each year. Every insect infestation, invasive species, every.... everything. We can no longer have Ebola one place... and be sure it won't show-up at any other place.

With approximately 3/4 of the American population being overweight for obese, I think we have a bigger (pardon the pun) issue at hand. Obesity related disease is killing us and placing an enormous burden on our medical infrastructure as it is. It is not improving either.

We don't need weight control, we need wheels with more than 48 spokes

Thank you all...Best reading I've done in a while.
I had to check thrice for the original OPer...Was certain there would be questions about wheels that stop after like 10 meters while touching the frame when my left foot is on the right [or wrong I guess] pedal because the cassette is broken, a $20 carbon handlebar replacement for a $400 professional wheelie/stoppie bike on which I only jump somewhere between 15mm and 15m while my forks make "a noise" and must be broken but the noise stops and the wheel works if I loosen the axles on my QR bike that the bike shop can't fix and won't help me anymore...
But it doesn't matter because online posters are just a bunch of 8-year-olds who don't know anything so
aAnd don't ask me to look it up, don't be a dork and just help me with the vast information I give you!
[Anyone else miss that guy?]
Back to the OP, ebola is far better than mountain bike girl cooties...
(Remember, I'm 8 years old)
Thank you all again...

Or maybe spoke between spokes? Lateral spokes complimenting the radial... It would resemble a spider web just in time for Halloween... and probably prevent your transmission from getting any disease.

I don't think very many Americans know that a Canada exists. Well, maybe the young girls because of Justin Beiber. Sorry about that, entire planet, but making Justin a star wasn't my idea.

BTW the residents of Bolinas California are famous for taking down directional signs , to keep the lookie-loo tourists from cruising their town.

The singular is banned, the plural isn't. It seems that the censor doesn't like lone gunmen, but gangs or armies are OK.
