I have three road bikes to overhaul and am looking for the best source for quantity lined shimano or similar quality grey brake cable housing and stainless steel brake and derailleur cables.
Thanks.

Amazon, Ebay or Alibaba if you need a lot for cheap. It cost me around $50 for 3 bikes last time I did it, which included 6 brake cables, 6 derailer cables, and all new housings. Shimano housing and coated stainless steel cables, so all good quality. You may find a good deal on JensonUSA, PricePoint, Nashbar or similar cycling online stores, but never as good as on Ebay.

From my experience, LBS is the place that you won't find what you need, almost everything is either out of stock or custom order. On the top of it, they charge MSRP or even more. That is my experience with over 10 local stores in SE Michigan.

Smatt,
I've dealt with an outfit called ebikestop in Colorado Springs. They have a wide selection of cables, housings, tools, tires, and just about anything else you might want at reasonable prices. I usually keep a list of what I need until I hit the $109 mark and take advantage of their free shipping, but I don't think their shipping charges are unreasonable. eBikeStop.com - life is short - enjoy the ride

thanks guys. I'm looking to buy good quality lined housing and cables in bulk so I don't have to keep running out to get them. I'll look at the ones you suggest.
