Hi, i am sure this might have written here but i couldn't find much information.

I need to replace my front and rear derailleur on my bike, i have 10 speed shifters crank, chain and cassete. I bought 5800 front and rear derailleur with a rush, i read that the front works fine. But for the rear i couldn't find much.

I didn't open the package, should i just change it up with a 5700 or does it works fine.

Thanks.

I don't think either will work. Where did you see that the front would? There are substantial differences.

The front may work, but the rear will definitely not work.

Neither derailleur will work with anything but 11 speed shifters

Ouch, i was super excited that it will solve the stiff shifting feeling on my front derailleur with the new design. ( Yes everything is fine on my cables and the derailleur is fine maintenanced )
what is the main reason that you say the front wont work ? It's double setup.
I will definetly change the rear once.

Look at the length of the lever arm and compare it to the 10 speed version. The pull ratio is totally different. Incidentally Campagnolo has done the same thing with their front derailleurs

Since when? Yes, Shimano changed the pull ratio on their mountain bike derailers so that they don't work with road stuff any more but, as far as I know, the pull ratio hasn't changed on road derailers. At least no one has mentioned it here.

Since Shimano introduced 11 speed for road, pull ratio for both front and rear derailleurs was changed. Dura Ace 9000 was introduced 3 years ago
