Assembly Question

Pardon the naivety of this question...I bought a bmx for my nephew. I want to put it together before giving it to him for his birthday.

The trouble is it has a front load stem with 4 bolts and I have absolutely no clue how to undo the bolts to attach the handlebars.

I have tried allen keys but can't seem to locate the right size to fit the bolt.

thanks so much!

Take a close-up photo of the parts you're trying to extract.

Many of the bike parts are metric, so make sure your Allen wrenches are metric. Sizes are often written on the wrenches.

Of course, it never hurts to try the opposite set from what you're using.

Those are almost definitely 6mm allen head bolts.

This will help. cheap, long arm for better torque, almost all the sizes you'll ever find on a bike (1.5mm all the way to 10mm)
