Um, you're 15. You have no idea. So ignoring your total lack of grammatical skills, what kind of lipstick have you put on this pig?

A good rider doesn't make a sh*tty bike not sh*tty. It just makes the bike perform as though a good rider is riding it.

If DC is sponsering (spelt wrong) him then there sponsering (again spelt wrong) for his riding, not if he knows how to build a bike or not. So yes, there is a way that DC is his sponser even if he doesn't know how to build a bike.

There's at least 2 guys at our shop that are wicked fast racers and honestly barely know how to change a flat tire. One does not imply the other.

How many Formula 1 drivers out there know how to mill a cylinder head? That's a pretty extreme analogy, bikes are a lot simpler than F1 cars, but just because you race doesn't mean you need to know all that much about the technical aspects. That's why people like me have jobs. In the winter I work at a ski shop in Tahoe...we have a fair share of pro ski racers bringing their equipment in. Could they learn how to do base repair, edge tuning and proper wax selection and application techniques? Probably. Is it important? No. Can we do it better? Yes. Would it take time away from what's really important, like winning? Absolutely.

Now...is this dude who's supposedly sponsored by DC really all that? Who knows. Who cares? This is the internet. We're all pros here.

I'm not referring to their riding (which is spectacular). I'm referring to their Specialized's. If I wanted top-mounted brakes and a gyro, I'd definitely go with one of those frames.

FACT: Cameron Birdwell, God of Thunder and Rock and Roll, Superman Seatgrab Peggrab King, Lord of All That Is Nosepicks, knows not how to work on his bike. However, he doesn't ask about how to work on his bike on internet messageboards.

Also, how exactly does one get a job at a bike shop if he doesn't know how to work on bikes?

Snazzy, would that count as lipstick on his pig? Hey, wait a minute! I've got a Shimano freewheel on my race bike, an aftermarket pad set, lock-on grips, and Kore chain tensioners. Does that make my bike custom too?
