Stickies are for important threads, not long ones. As long as it's active, it will be on top. If it's inactive, it will sink to the bottom. If that happens, because members lose interest, it had no business being a sticky.

Well said.

Pt. 2, my 5 year old (or 6, I dunno) cousin. See, you can tell she's related to me somehow, she loves taking pictures :)

Redesigned the 'enlarger' - a diffused light source makes a huge difference, and tweaked some other things too. Going to make some more this weekend and scan them at the campus since I start classes next week.
Eventually when I have the equipment I'll start being scientific about the developing and printing process, and then my B&W stuff will look like real photos, but this is fun in the meantime.

LMFAO

I have a Rebel(sucks) and a Canon Digital Rebel XT 350D. But saving to buy a Nikon D2X. I love the digital with the computer programs I have.

Takinga good shot with any camera isa cool feeling.

Amen. I've been loving taking pictures with my new camera. I'll post some up soon. I haven't quite mastered the timing on bike related shots, but i can take a mean picture of a sunset or tree. :p

I kind of miss shooting digital. I think if I can be confident enough to shoot 100% film and know I did the best I can without chimping the shots on the LCD, my digital stuff will improve too. I'm probably going to get through the 'macro season' (april through june, early july) with the new Velvia 50 when it's available, and after that if I can afford it maybe I'll get a Pentax K10D or save up for a 1DS. I'm impressed by the Pentax 31mm 1.8 Limited, and I know I like that focal length (x1.5) so that's probably what I'll get.

premiumbmx2005 01-04-07 05:41 PM

gibberish

FitRider 921 01-04-07 05:42 PM

I'm lost.

Don't read my post in the snowboarding thread then... lol

Man, I never used to worry about film being properly exposed. Total confidence, but only because I was super consistent in my exposures. It didn't hurt that one of my usual assistants (a total cutie, by the way) also worked at the lab I used, so she did all my printing. But with digital, I actually have less confidence. I don't trust the LCD to show the image accurately. Then you worry about screen calibration for color, then the lab stuffs it all up anyway.

Most people will never get a good photo that includes the earth and the sky. You see beatiful vistas. I see poor exposure, weak composition, and a profound lack of sharpness throughout. The should also be resized.

bikerdfresh 01-14-07 12:06 PM

i should get some pics of mine up but im tooo lazy, i've also got a darkroom in my house where i've been developing for a few years now, (since i was 14) anyone else have a darkroom of their own?

Brian 01-14-07 12:23 PM

I used to have a darkroom. I started printing 24 years ago.

True.

mude 01-14-07 02:50 PM

not to mention the .9923234 exposure time mixed with the nikon xz234 and the cannon 800 just dont make it look good.

That's fine. It would take more than that to get really good results though.

MadMan2k 01-14-07 05:05 PM

The first one's not bad.

premiumbmx2005 01-15-07 08:51 PM

the quantum continum force of the exposure needs to be equal to 32Xlmnop to acquire a sufficiant anus:weenie ratio. simply put.

You don't think a split 2xND would have been a better choice?
