I'ma learn by trial and error. As soon as i get my hub fixed i'm going to start re-saving up for a camera. I will probly just copy whatever mude got cause that way he can teach me(but most likely just make fun of me because i wont be able to figure it out), and because his price range was the same as mine is. Books are for chumps.

Keep shooting centered compositions with power lines all over and no interesting elements at noon in auto mode then, and acting like photography language is rocket science, and see how that works out...
hint: it won't |

hint: it won't As of right now my only interest in photography is taking pictures of my friends and i riding and maybe a few of our trails. When and if i get that nicer camera then i'll start learn' myself about photography and stuff. But if i still have this hunk of junk snap-the-picture-before-the-person-is-even -off-the-jump-camera then i'm not going to bother. |

Someone should sticky this thread too.

Scanned on an Imacon 848. The lens I used isn't as sharp as the 35mm voigtlander on the M3, but it'll make a good 18x12 print. Thinking about doing a 30x20 from another shot, it's got the resolution for it... |
I'd sticky this thread, but there is no point to. People are constantly posting here to keep it near the top. Cool photos. Chris Gabriel, cool video, even though you really didn't need to hop so high.

reminds me of this place in DC
|
It does? I've never seen that place before.

close to howard and shaw middle school (the one with the ****ty skatepark behind it)
|
Chris, pay more attention to the edges of objects. Your bike wheel is cut off by the rail, and the bench is chopped off at the edge of the frame.
Maybe you guys should start posting pics for Madman and me to critique. Helpful criticism, not just telling you when you suck. |

I like the first one and the one with the swan.

i dont like the color.

Madman, in post #555, that is an awesome picture. You and whoever else can do that is amazing.
|
Cheers.
Just got all my prints made and dropped most of them at the framing shop... I'm approaching the cost of all of my equipment put together will all the expenses this year related to developing, processing, scanning and printing. I'll easily be over that number by July. Yikes. I just have to make over a grand this year from my photography, and I can call myself a 'pro', because the majority of my income came from it :) |

I was eating breakfeast, and my camera was on the table from yesterday, so i snapped this. I think it's neat. But i'm sure there are 100 things i could have done better in Mr. Madman and Expats eyes. Take into consideration it was shot with a pos inadequate camera. :) I'm broke, send me a fancy one. |
