Profile Deluxe vs. Madera Protacool
I need new cranks since mine weight about five pounds. I'm looking at the profile deluxes but the description under maderas say that they're made by profile and they have the same details so I was wondering if it is worth the extra $30 to get the deluxes.

no, they are the same thing...
look at Odyssey 41 thermals too, much stronger crank with a better warranty. |

The Madera cranks are made by profile but are a bit rounder, if you will than the regular Profiles. I would just get a nice set of Profiles with the hop up kit if i were you. Wombolts look nice as well. |
Yeah I think I'm just going to get the profiles becasue I might be getting a good deal on a frame so I want some money to spend on that.

My Primo cranks have been pretty good but i wouldnt recommend them. They make a creaking sound because they are hollow but yet nothing is wrong with them. And when i do tables and my feet shift sideways the Primo cranks have this like circular raise sort of the by the pedal bosses that hurts my feet when land with them sideways. |

And hence why i'm getting them.
Plus there are still cranks that cost more. |
i dont like the 22mm spindle, though. especially since i have a euro bb.
|
I've never had any problems with any of my cranks except for some magna 1 peice cranks which i bent doing stair sets (how cool was I). Then again, i've never had euro bb

Profile offers a LIFETIME warranty onthe full crankset. And a 3month on the bearings, and they will be the last set of cranks you ever need.
