So even though that happened to your hand you still ride, or is it riding around the block.

I got me an Elementary stem today in exchange for my stock Fit stem. Maybe I'll actually post up a bike check some time soon...

I think I'm gonna get the Elementry for my custom if I ever get enough cash to make it.

I can't wait to hear about all the trouble you are going to have with that stem, since it's a little more complicated then a straight cable.

Hey, watch it. The only reason I had so much trouble with a straight cable was because I misplaced my barrel adjustor and didn't realize it was missing. The Elementary is a bit different, though. It got rid of the play in my headset so now my bike sounds a lot better. I might paint it purple when I get some paint.

The play in your headset is due to not tightening your compression bolt enough, or having not enough spacers, or too long of a steeror tube. Has nothing to do with the stem. Make sure you keep the compression bolt tight or you'll ruin your head tube and headset.

The play in my headset was due to taking off my gyro from a while ago. Since the Elementary is so high, I didn't have to run another spacer or cut my steerer tube, thence getting rid of the play in my headset.

Exactly. You just clarified what I told you... To make it more clear, the elementary has play the role of another spacer.

What you said made no sense. Yes, I know why there would be play in the headset. You said that it had nothing to do with the stem, which is not true as shown in the case of my old stem to the Elementary.

If you're talking to me, a normal stem has 4 allen bolt things, as to the elementry it only has one right?

The play in the headset doesn't have anything to do the with stem. It's more so the length of your steerer tube.

So if that's the case does it still hold up when stuff like the handle bars moving down.

My steerer tube stayed the same length as I did not cut it. The Elementary took up more room- that has a lot to do with the stem.

If it's not raining tomorrow (although it's supposed to rain all day), I'll try to find a camera.

What does rain have to do with taking pictures?

I assume you're not dumb and your bike is inside safe...

They won't turn out so well in my not-so-well-lit garage.
