Explain to her that you need to have BMX in your life as a way to releive stress, have fun, etc. (whatever it does for you). Tell her that if you can't get that fix on a bike, you'll have to explore other options, like climbing, kyaking, or bullfighting.

Or car theft, burglary, selling drugs, etc. All that good stuff, much more wholesome and safe than riding a bike with little wheels.
