MadMan, that is a nice ride... top of the hill. Did you have to paint it after you removed the stickers, or did they scrape off clean?

Like many, I'm back into BMX after a considerable time away and noticed the pattern of most bikes not having the stickers. It's a clean look and I like it.

MadMan2k 01-08-06 10:43 PM

I spent about 2 hours total removing the stickers, and then cleaning it and stuff. They came off pretty clean for the most part, put some chips in the paint though. Can't see it in the pics, might buy some white touch-up paint next week.

I can't get the stickers off my GT Tour, it's almost like they are part of the paint, can't even find an edge or a raised area.

:(

Might be just printed decals then, that's what's on my Specialized - can't take them off.

HaroBmx02 01-15-06 09:31 AM

i ride a haro revo .9, looking to put some new parts into it, like a 3-piece, but im gunna wait till i really need it, like once it breaks, and some new pedals and what not

There may be a clear coat over the decals, or they may be screened on.

Canary yellow Haro Backtrail X0 with some DK Vice grips, though I'm looking to fix up a 1" from all the parts in my basement, give me something to do.

Haro Mirra 540 '05 ver, powder blue, not the best color, but matches jeans. a bit heavy though comes in at 34 lbs or so. i run 4 pegs and 2 brakes, i want to learn to grind on my right side, but i might take off the right pegs.

Hah... If you think his seat is too high you must think mine is way out... Thing is, I was to run my seat lower, I wouldn't be able to sit down since my leg only bends so far... I thought his seat was quite low personally, if he wants to do any type of barspins etc I doubt you could say it is too high.

do you have any carbon headset spacers on that beast?

you should also consider putting that thing on a diet...it must weigh like 10 pounds!

Brian 01-22-06 01:44 PM

Go Taylor! He can't race without the CF spacers.

FMFBMX 01-23-06 08:15 AM

I like being able to grip my seat for barspins, no handers, etc.

im not going to put it slammed just beacause its trendy.

Hey guys, this might no be the right place to post my question, but basically I'm looking to buy my first bike and have my eyes on a Giant Modem G, I am interested mainly in Flatland, any comments? Advice is well welcomed!

premiumbmx2005 02-01-06 08:44 PM

your right, its not the right place.

ed200084 02-01-06 08:52 PM

sorry bout that, but reasoning was that you guys are all posting your rides, and whats good about each one, thought a modem user might comment

http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/6...01027hi.th.jpg My BMX is a beater. But its a strong beater. Seriously, I have been abusing it for years, and the wheels are still almost perfect

CMcMahon 02-04-06 08:47 PM

^ I'm sorry to hear that. On a sidenote, I especially like how Rick Thorne totally avoided answering my question to him in Ride US, in addition to making himself look like even more of a ******bag by failing to actually answer any of the hatemail directed at him, and insetad decided to use the "you suck" or "you're 12 years old" type of replies, which really doesn't work too well when you're answering to people like John Lee from FBM/Last Call.

queensrider86 02-04-06 09:26 PM

ice money is a G

Brian 02-04-06 09:28 PM

How did that tool become the face of BMX? Colin McKay should smack him good.
