Haha sweet, I don't play them much, my brother is an amazing drummer though. I don't know if you can see but my guitar is in the back round too.

If anyone cares this is what I picked up Tuesday:
http://optikbox.ath.cx/lars/JG.JPG Joey Garcia frame (I was told), Hoffman bars, unknown other parts. |
Doesn't look very appealing to me. You may want to get some new tires if you are gonna do street... and get some pegs.

Animal tires. Either of the two of them. Get both actually.
|
^ ASM rear, GLH front. Plus take the brakes off if you want to ride street, might as well do it right ;p
|
You can ride street with brakes. Learn fufanus. My parents won't let me take the brake off my bike anyway.

Are you saying that's what I have or should get? I'm too much of a chicken, and lack the skill to ride without brakes. |
Should get. I don't know what those are, maybe Tioga's?
That's fine, like he said there are more tricks you can do with brakes, and it's good for riding on hills too. |
The tires you have are kenda kudos. I would get animals too, or those new fly ruben tires, or some odyssey tires... and guns, why won't your rents let you lose the break? Who cares it's your bike isnt it?
|
Yeah I looked at the animal tires, I like the GLH version, I may get those. I never had street tires before, even when I rode on the street I always had knobbies, do they make a big difference?
|
Way better grip, and they are still good for trails. Also the high psi helps make things alot smoother and more solid, and prevents pinch flats and flat spots.

Thats bunk.
|
How do you stop without brakes? Foot on the tire?
|
That or put your foot down, or run into someone.
|
can someone please post a link to both the animal tires as i am in need of some new street tyres

I gotta buy new tires for sure now, I aired up my rear to 85 PSI (100 rated) and it split a hole open as soon as I put my weight onto it. DOH!

jono - Empire has both of them:
http://empirebmx.com/catalog/catalog.aspx kinetik: Those bars look ridiculous IMO.. but if you can ride them without your back dying of pain and smacking into trees and buildings all the time, have fun :P |
