Help a newbie biker

well ive been riding since ever, know some stunts etc. never took riding to seriously.
but some days ago a skate park was inaugurated in my city and im getting really pumped to take bmx as a sport, the prob is my bike is crap, and im mean cheap, toy store, heavy as hell, CRAP.

im going tomorrow to my lbs but since i don't live in USA im afraid it will be overpriced.
maybe buying one online may be better, im looking for a cheap 200 - 250 bike, mostly for bunny hops, grinding
not so high jumps.

im not gona go directly to the ramps so i guess a bike in that price range will do the work.

btw if anyone has bought from danscomp internationally, mind charing anything about the service?

thx guys

Danscomp's gives great deals as long as you know how to setup and dial bikes yourself, I'd recommend going to a variety of bike shops and getting their opinion. However, if you stop into a shop where a nice fairly tore-up custom is sitting in the back, your likely in the right place. I haven't riden bmx bikes since the warpig had praise but any folks at the shops will lead you in the right direction.

No for the DK Rage. It is a race bike.

well im a fairly tall (1.88 meters,75-80kg ), i went to my local shops and one of them just had $500 and above bikes, the other one had $250 bikes, he said he will show me those ones today, any brand i shall look forward too?

BTW i called my cousin in Laredo so i guess i dont have to pay the international shipping cost anymore, how much would i end up paying if i get a $199 bike shipped there?
thx in advance

kink, fit, hoffman, and the mirraco completes are nice also. but also go with what you like and make sure you ride it around and they will adjust anything on the bike if you need it just ask. hope you find your perfect bike
