paint
I'm getting bored of my bike's look. I wanna spray paint it, but I'm not sure where to start. should I remove parts (crank, stem, pedals, fork, etc.) or just tape 'em off and hope they don't get too much paint on 'em? also, should I use a special kind of paint or primer?

I haven't painted a bike frame however you are going to want to lightly sand your frame to rough the current paint, then prime the frame. Be sure your frame is clean from rust, dirt, and paint dust before priming, you can wipe it down with acetone. Primer will create a even porous surface for the new paint to adhere to. You may want to wet sand your frame after that.
