Video Cameras?

I was kind of thinking about looking into getting a HD video camera. I was looking at something cheaper but not a pocket one. I'm liking the Sony Webbie 5.0MP camcorder. Anybody have any experience with any HD video cameras?

If you're looking into smaller consumer camcorders, go for a Canon HV30.

I can't afford something that expensive on my low budget. I want to get something decent, but I won't be using it all the time for everything. I don't know, maybe I'll invest in a DSLR camera first. I was looking at a Nikon D60 10.2MP with an extra lens for $700.

It's on BestBuy. It's the body and two lenses.

No, it's so I can start learning how to film other people and they can film me.

Uh, no. That all depends on how it's filmed, the type of lens, the type of camera, and the situation. Probably half the clips in this video are filmed with a fisheye, and they look fine.

Yeah that looks good, but I don't like it when it's blocked out a lot like in the video that phlatland posted.

That would've looked fine if the guy filmed had turned off Steadyshot/OIS/whatever. Also, that video was released on VHS probably a decade ago. Nobody back then cared too much about that sort of thing.

That makes more sense about the quality part. I don't think I've ever seen a good quality VHS video.

I don't know if it's just from Youtube, but the quality on that vid is pretty bad too. It's prob just because of the conversion to the computer. Good riding though.
