I was interested in how much you cut off. I have been thinking of working on a GT mallet. Before and after weights would be useful as well.

i dont know how much i cut out exzactly, all i know is i cut through the center of the front plate and made the distance from the inside edge of the holes and the outside edge the same on both sides. i would estamate the gap is about 0.450
there is one thing that aggervates me, i dont know if you can see it but i forgot to zero out the scale and its 40 thousandths to one side
