Hookworm Tire Pressure
I recently put a pair of 20" hookworm tires on my bike and I was wondering what pressure people were running them at. I had originally filled them with my hand pump and checked them with my pressure gauge i had only gotten them to 40psi so I used my compressor and got them up to 75psi but it felt like they were about to explode and they feel rock hard but they roll really nice. The tire says it is rated 85-110psi does anybody run these at that high a pressure?

That is a given, but at 75psi these tires are drum tight and ROCK HARD. It is a very different feel from my 23c tires at high pressure, its kinda like riding on really hard basketballs. I'm not complaining its just a little weird.

well I have been running them for a few months now at between 75psi and 95psi and they are a bit more harsh at the higher pressure but they have been preforming well. these tires have shattered my old opinion about bigger tires being slower, I love them.

20" BMX at 100+ psi? Damn. I don't think I ever rode anything over 35lbs back when I was 100lbs lighter on a 20" bike. Either way, at 200+ I still typically ride with 45-47psi max on mtb tires, and that is with full suspension.
