Help Me ID a Vintage Cinelli

Hello!

My friend purchased this bike from eBay a while back, and she's having a tough time properly identifying it as a previous owner gave it a custom paint job. By the look of the lugs, I would say it might be a Cinelli Centurion, but its hard to be sure. Please see images below to help ID, helpful comments are greatly appreciated.

One thing which might aid the detection process would be a closeup image of the seat cluster. Does not resemble any of the ACER-MEX replicas I have seen previously.

Note to self: "Must remember to scroll."

As you probably know, those Cinelli investment cast bits are available to all so their presence is not necessarily an indication of Cinelli-ness.

It's definitely not a Centurion Cinelli Equipe. The flat topped. investment caat seat lug looks rather plain. Also, I'd don't see any pump peg, 2nd set of bottle bosses or Portacatena holes. These features all suggest mid-1980s . The crankset is a Camapagnolo Victory, which is era correct, so it just might be a mid-range model with Cinelli fittings. Do you know the seat post size and whether or not it has a Columbus seat tube?

No worries!
I had trouble uploading pictures on here it's been a while.

I was basing my assumptions on this website:
https://cinellionly.blogspot.com/2014/03/centurion-cinelli-project-part-iii.html?m=1

But yeah I've heard about cinelli selling lugs and stuff like that.

Not sure about the seat post size I don't have calipers here 😓. The only sticker on here reads prodotti campy speciali.

Got a possible clue here the lug work looks similar?

Here's a thread with a similar looking frame, I didn't read enough of it to find out if the frame was identified.

Looks like a " Cinelli Project " to me. For Distribution to Centurion dealers.

My first thought was Centurion Cinelli but on further reflection, like T-Mar, I think not. Here are some quick pics of mine. Note pump peg, longer seat stay cap, and the chain stay bridge.

The Centurion Cinelli Equipe also had a front derailleur hanger and bosses for dual bottles, which the subject frame does not have The Centurion Cinelli Equipe also has a traditional fork crown, whereas the subject bicycle uses the integral crown. Finally, the seat lugs are entirely different. The seat lug on the subject frame has a flat cut top and the top of thebinder ears located below the top of the lug, while the Centurion Cinelli Equipe seat lug has a scalloped top and the top of the binder bolt ears are flush with the top of the lug. There are more than a handful of differences, when you know what to look for and don't get distracted by the Cinelli embossing on the stock fittings. It's documented that there was only one production run of 150 bicycles, so you wouldn't expect any variation on features.

Edit: And why would they have painted over the chromed head lugs, if it was a Centurion Cinelli Equipe? The vast majority of owners would retain the chrome, if at all possible.
