repainted 1969 Raleigh Grand Prix

Here's an interesting thought. Woud you pay 430.00 for a custom pianted '69 GP?

Runs great, steel wheels, Sun Tour grupo, funky Sachs down tube levers, nothing intense, so it's all about "the look".

Probably not and definetly not for this one. Lousy repaint mix of non original low end components. Also I I don't think the bike is actually a 1969. To call what has been done on this bike a full restoration is pathetic. This bike is really only worth about $120 in it's current shape.

Wow, is that ever ugly! No, I wouldn't spend even close to that on this bike.

First of all it dosen't look like 69 (cotterless cranks) or the frame is old but everything else has been replaced. The fork on a Grand Prix would have a chrome tip if I recall. If it rides well and shows well maybe $100-$150.

it has a dork disc and no chain with a smattering of components. There is nothing in the hundreds about that bike

Wasn't looking all that close missed there is no chain or pedals. I wonder how it can ride good without a chain or pedals.

I could (and did, in fact) do a classier looking paint job when I was in junior high.

Probably the one good thing I did. Besides the time I rigged up my generator set so I could ride at night. That introduced me to whole new level of awesome (for a 14-year-old kid, anyway).

But once I hit 16 (typical boy) it was all about cars after that.

At 16, you skipped the all about girls phase?

In theory, the car would get you the girls. The 1970 GTO and the 1969 Barracuda both kinda struck out in that respect, but the 1966 Chevelle convertible was, ah, what you might call a home run?
