Klien Performance? rare?
It seems like Klein's quantum model comes a dime a dozen when I compare it to how often I see the touring model, the performance. I went over budget on this one but really enjoy riding it how much do you guys think this one would go for?

I'm not sure how Klein marketed this, but to be clear, it's certainly not a serious touring machine. "Sport touring" would be a more correct term.
Anyway, it looks cool! The Mavic Helium (?) wheelset really complete the look. But I'm a sucker for color anodized rims. I wouldn't let it go for less than $500 around here but 600-700 might be better price.

Looking at the length of the stem and the amount of exposed seatpost it is too small for you. Its is verrrryy nice looking bike thought, great looking condition.
What did you pay for it? Since you aready bought it what I think it should go for really doesn't matter much unless you are looking to sell.

It is small for me but had a nice long ride on it and it did fine. funny that your from Oregon, I made a trip out there and picked her up in Portland, for I think around 450, and paid 40 bucks to ship it back to Los Angeles.
The trip went as planed Portland is a bicyclist's heaven, people were great, and the bike paths were plenty.

I read the brochure and yes they did market it as a touring bike, they are the helium's, they really do bring out the appearance of the bike

In this case, rare just means did not sell well. During that time period, someone interested in a touring bike could get a nice steel frame bike, with cantilever brakes, braze ons for front and rear racks and fenders, etc.
People often confuse rarity with value. Think 1965 Ford Mustang versus 1965 Rambler Marlin. One is rare, the other is valuable (10,000 Marlins sold, vs 560,000 Mustangs).
