Still learning
Duane, that bike is much too small for you, but I can help you out with that!
Probably $1200-$1400.

In excess of $1500. I'd drop 10 Benji's on it without thinking too much

Hello,
If your friend is offering it to you at a "reasonable" price you probably already "know" the answer...buy it if you like it, I am in line with others on the pricing for ebay CL is a different story as high dollar stuff tends to languish for awhile.
Good luck with the transaction. Ben

Another question on this bike...anyone know where it fits within the Colnago "hierarchy?" Near the top/bottom? I realize that, with Colnago, all are very good...just curious...

really $500 for the crank even though it is just the big ring? I am surprised that people are saying over $1500. It's nice for sure, but it is a 1980s bike and the modolo's hurt the value a bit in my opinion though the black is quite nice (i wouldn't change them). over $1000 for sure though.

That is a nice bike. Brakes are the only downcheck. I think it would be worth $1200+ easy.
Good luck and hope it fits!

Super Record group: $1000 (I sold 5 or so groups this year so I'm very familiar with pricing)
Typical prices:
Seat post: $125
Crankset: $150
Stem: $35
Pantographed:
Seat post: $250
Crankset: $250
Stem: $75
Stem, seatpost and crankset alone are worth $525+. I'm seeing 'Cinelli' badging on the toe clips which will send the pedals into the $125-150 range. The only wild card are the brakes, if they're 'Professionals' with milled levers the value is on pair with Super Record. Speedy's not so much.
One of my parted Paramount's fetched upwards of $1600...
