Giant Perigee ?
Ok - I got burned by waiting too long on a couple I was looking at before - fall rush to buy - who knows....?
However, I came across this one. I like Treks - but this one seems interesting. I already asked the buyer some questions- but am currently confirming the standover height. Seller reports 56cm frame - but I am not so sure
"The Giant is a Perigee model with Shimano components. It does shift cleanly and the brakes are fine. You must see it!"
Regardless - what do you think of a Giant Perigee? - I like the handlebars, which is always a reason to buy a bike!! ; )
He is asking too much for me ($140) - but if its as described I might offer $100 ?

This looks like an early 1990s Perigee, which was an entry level, road sport model. If so, it should have a Shimano 300EX group and the frame should have plain gauge CrMo main tubes.
This is smaller then 56cm, so FMV is a moot point. Also, did you notice that it has been converted to a single chainring?

No, I did not notice - so the owner modified this bike to more of a fixie?

I agree it looks smaller than a 56 closer to a 50. Whats with the brake cable routing? those bare might be better served with reverse levers. No FD and big ring? Looks like someone tried to make a Fixie but didn't want to buy a new back wheel.

Assuming I'm correct about the components, it should be a 7 speed. It clearly still has the rear derailleur and cassette, so it's not a "fixie". The owner has just removed the large chainring and front derailleur, though they have retained the front shift lever. It's configured more like time trial bicycle for a rider who is not strong.

Ok - forget this idea... I now smell blood in the water for a local Trek 520 - bad pics and little info. I am going to check it out - he says "needs wheel repair, cheap stuff." So I am going to see what this actually means - the idea of a true "Touring Bike" appeals to me
I am concerned and expect to add some fixing money as he is asking $125 for it
