Help me ID this Bianchi
Recently acquired an old Bianchi in a trade. It's in pretty bad shape, but I'm slowly nursing it back to health. I think it's an old Bianchi Sport SX, but I'm unsure, and if it is I don't know the year. All the pictures I've found look like a Sport SX, except it doesn't have "Sport SX" written on the top tube.

Other than that it looks just like this. Same color, decals, Sugino VP Crankset, Shimano Light Action deraileurs and shifters, lugs look the same, stem, seatpost, dia compe brakes, etc. Also, it has "Bianchi" inlaid into the lugs on the fork/seat stays and some Sport SX pictures I've seen just have "B" on the lugs.
Is there some year that they stopped/started writing "Sport SX" on the top tube? With the lower/entry level quality of components that came on the bike, I seriously doubt it's anything but a Sport SX.
Thanks!

Well, without an actual picture of the bicycle, it is difficult to be of much help. The picture presented is of a Bianchi SX and the fence you see is in my backyard. My guess is that you will get some pretty good responses from the Bianchi enthusiasts here, though.
You might be talking about a Bianchi Strada LX, a more entry level model. Again, without pictures of the bicycle, it is near impossible for anyone to help identify the bike. The LX would have the Bianchi on the crown, but there would be no integral derailleur hanger.

So you are asking to identify a bike, and you post a picture of a different bike?
Really need to post high quality full sized pictures of your bike.
Easiest way to date any bike is to just look up the component codes. Most if not all the components used to build the bike will be dated. Vintage Trek site has all the details.
