Bottecchia with no serial and no idea what year
I have a Bottecchia racing bike and I'm really curious what it is and what it's worth. I've heard a lot of speculation on year and value (anywhere from 200 - 800 dollars). If anyone can ID the model, approximate year, and maybe an idea for what it is truly worth I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

That's a nice looking bike. Probably dates from 88-92. More show than go on the parts and frame. On ebay with good presentation you could get $225 to $400. I would get rid of that seat - it really kills the overall look.

Aelle tubing is good but nowhere near the top of the Columbus line-up.
Triomphe group was a lower-mid group in the Campagnolo lineup, probably circa 1985, maybe a little later. I'm sure the guys that can spot the differences between the first to the third iterations of the rear derailleur could pin it down closer.
So I think you'd be hard pressed to get $800 from the bike. Maybe $400 cleaned and paint issues "repaired" to the right buyer, but if I had to sell it quickly around my area, it would be more in the neighborhood of $250.

Welcome to the Bike Forums.
