1988 Miele Classica ?
Hi, I have been offered an 88 Miele. I have looked at the 88 catalog and I am quite sure this is the classica model. There is also a 1988 Calgary winter olympic sticker that looks original. Sorry, no pics....well unless I buy it!
Condition:a little rough..
original paint and decals, some scratches not too bad but needs some love
will need tires, saddle for sure...
Original?
Saddle, handle bar wrap..not original
The compments all seem to be original, the gold hubs, gold diacompe brakes, suntour compnents etc...
Frame size?
not sure, but small..
Location?
Near Toronto Ontario
Could someone give me a ballpark value, is it a decent bike to keep / sell ?
Thanks in advance!!

w/o pictures this is only a guess $150. It sounds like it needs up to $100 in parts and labor work if you can't do it yourself.

1988 Miele Catalog
Mike,
I'm trying to identify my brother's Miele because he wants to sell it. I think it's an '88 because it has the Suntour Superbe Pro group on it. There was a decal where the model would have been placed on the top tube. You mentioned you had an '88 catalog. Any chance that you might scan through the catalog and see if you can find a model name. I figure it is on eof the higher end models based on the components and frame. Thanks.

I know this is a few months old, and the OP hasn't been actively but FWIW, his bicycle is not a 1988, based on the description.

Superbe Pro was in production for over a decade and I'm aware of at least three different Miele models that used it. As previously stated, pictures are essential to a positive identification, preferably an overall picture taken from the drive side and detail pictures of the major components such as the rear derailleur, crankset and brakes. Knowing the tubeset and serial number would also be helpful.
