Hi,
Last week I got this bike from a relative, & since this is all kind of new to me I was hoping if some of you could provide some more information.
The man I got it from didn't know much about it either, but the frame has had a paint job at some point, which makes it kinda hard to tell what brand it was.
It also has BCM stamped on it, a 72 and a 51 I think (photo's).
I looked around a little and found out that Bocama used to stamp BCM on their frames? There's isn't much information available though.
Cheers!

My SWAG, assuming the Huret derailleurs are original, is it's a Motobecane from the early 1970's, probably 1972 given the above digits. Second guess would be a Gitane. Lower end with claw RD, cottered cranks, and Rigida chrome rims.

Bikes: Current 79 Nishiki Custum Sport, Jeunet 620, notable previous bikes P.K. Ripper loop tail, Kawahara Laser Lite, Paramount Track full chrome, Raliegh Internatioanl, Motobecan Super Mirage. 59 Crown royak 3 speed
I would also say early 70's French entry level most likely a Motobecane it does have some interesting featurers claw hanger but braze on shifters I don't think the RD is original it seems a bet newer than the rest of the bike. I would say around $100-125 in current condition.

Also I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying what the bike actually is or money time fixing it up you won't get much if any returns on your efforts. If your selling it just list with the photo's you have there fine, for $150 and be willing to sell for a little less.

I'd guess French with evreyone else. Lower end model, but should be a very nice ride. Nothing really stand out other than the Mafac rubber hoods, if still in good shape and plyable, are most likely the most valuable single part on the bike.
