Peugeot PZ?
Not super familiar with the PZ 10.
Looks pretty good. Thinking of picking it up, the seller wants 300$
Can anyone provide a bit of extra information of what differentiates the PZ from other frames?
Thanks

Think of it as a 1980s PX 10 built with Columbus SL tubing instead of 531. Value depends very much on your market and how you sell it. Ebay, probably more, Craigslist locally, probably less. Guessing in the $150 -300 range based on what looks like its very good cosmetic condition.

Thanks bertinjim!
Just saw it.
Looked pretty clean, just a few scratches, no major dents.
I did notice that there wasnt a "10" after the PZ. Just a PZ.
Was this common? What does it denote.
It measured a good 57cm square, which is perfect.
A 27.2 seatpost looked like it fit well. (is this indicative that it is in fact columbus SL).
May try to get him down to 250 or so

Constant tinkerer
If you want it I wouldn't feel bad about paying $300. Whether that's a "fair" price or not, how often to you see SL Peugeots? I'd pay it, that's a sweet frame.

There was a year or two in which the Columbus framed Peugeots were designated just PZ without a follow-on number. The 27.2 indicates quality tubing, probably SL because the Reynolds bikes were typically 26.4 in metric sized tubing. Look inside the fork - you should see helical grooves swirling their way up the steerer tube. Typically, that will indicate Columbus. We really need Miami Jim here!
