WTB: Brooks in *maroon*
Hi all!
I've got several Brooks saddles, more than bikes in fact, but I am looking for kind of a unicorn: a B17 'Special' or possibly a Team Pro in *maroon,* a special edition color that they apparently made several years ago. In fact searching here I found that a few regulars found them on sale new at Nashbar...like ten years ago.
Could well have a Pro to trade, or maybe buy in cash.
Let me know what you have or where I might look. Thanks!

Here is one, seller has 100% positive feedback... but it’s expensive:

^ Yep, saw that one, but have an innate resistance to paying list price. Ever. For anything. ;- )
Also holding out hope that there was an edition of the B17 'Champion Special' in this color.
It's amazingly hard to find information or photos of past Brooks special edition saddles. They made Pro and B17 Champions in a version of British Racing Green, and I have one of the latter. One of the few pics you can find of that color online is on the old Yellow Jersey site, from 2006! (Another is from Pastor Bob's site.) I actually like that saddle a lot but the green, now faded to a grey-green, isn't right for my black/red Grand Record.

I remember seeing that color, as well as a green and an ochre when they were out. I was able to get an ochre one, and it is a Team Pro. I strongly suspect the other colors were also.
Look ma, no bag tabs!
