Amazon failure
MY RATING _ LESS THAN 1,, MINUS 10.
I bought a set of Whitworth wrenches through Amazon on April 19. It was estimated that delivery would be expected from May 18 to June 1. It is now June 14 and the wrench set has not arrived. I have been in contact with the seller (Big Red Toolbox) and they have replied to me. They asked me to contact my local Post Office - which I have done - to no avail. Had I known at the time of purchase that there is NO TRACKING on international orders, I would have never placed the order. So far Amazon has been useless - passing everything to Big Red Toolbox.
BEWARE INTERNATIONAL ORDERS.

Where is it coming from?
I've had orders (usually E-Bay) from China that all seem to arrive, some a bit slower than others.
I think the Chinese E-Bay orders do come with tracking, but until they actually get to the USA, updates are sparse.
2 months is a bit long to wait
You might be able to cancel the order through your credit card company.

Every single time I place an order either on Amazon or eBay, I will take two seconds to confirm that tracking info will be provided. I'll shop around for the cheapest price, and then if the cheapest item doesn't include tracking, I will pass on it.
One time something like this happened to me, and I simply cancelled the order via Amazon claims department. Got a full refund. I also had an Amazon package stolen from my doorstep. Again full refund via Amazon claims.
Let this be a lesson learned. Hope you get your stuff soon!

This came from Big Red Toolbox in Britain. They have been responding on time, but not very helpful so far.

That being said....2 months is well past Amazon's file a claim date, which IIRC is 30 or 45 days from purchase. Amazon should be worthless at this point, as you sailed passed their deadlines for buyer protections. Either way. I'd have bought the wrench set from Harbor Freight last month, were I in your shoes.

Depends on how it is shipped.

I think you should ask Amazon for a refund.

Not sure they have Whitworth - tried to look it up and got many funny hits, such as - Man walks into Harbor freight and asks for Whitworth wrenches. HF manager - "We carry Pittsburgh tools." Man - "Whitworth is a size, not a brand." Manager - "We carry Pittsburgh tools." (This one goes to eleven!)

I'm surprised. Normally, they give you a refund even if the vendor doesn't provide it. That's supposed to be the point of Amazon. Maybe they have different rules with international vendors. The credit card is a good avenue. It should work.

I am amazed that your money wasn't refunded promptly. I ordered something, and after a week went past the arrival deadline I raised an issue and had a refund the next day. Amazon has fabulous customer service. I would contact them again.

The low quality Pittspoop metric wrenches are a godsend. The sloppy tolerances are actually Whitworth..lol. Also, asian made wrenches are only good to modify for a few special applications and then throw away. For car work, often done if not wanting to spend $50 or so from Snap-on or wait from another tool house.
Seriously though, I'd much rather buy a set of used and vintage Whitworth sized wrenches online vs. the price of new. Fraction the price and much higher quality.

The Big Red Toolbox came through. They have offered to resend the item with tracking. Perhaps this is case closed.

I hate to be optimistic at a time like this, but I believe your tools will arrive eventually. If BRT sends a second set, you will have two.

I've had some poor experiences ordering from small UK retailers before.
Only i was living right next door in Ireland so i really couldn't understand the delay.
But I think the same thing happened when we spent time in France, again ordering from the UK.
I think anything other than internal UK post codes goes straight to the back of the line.

I wonder if it was a customs issue rather than a shipping issue. Sometimes things get stuck up for a long time.

The wrenches may be in a container that got pulled by Customs for detailed inspection. When managing one construction project, materials we had spec'ed from the UK were delayed 6 weeks due to US Customs pulling the container.

This is why I shop on eBay and not Amazon. Feedback and seller ratings mean something on eBay and sellers will always try to please you so you do not leave negative comments. If you have an issue eBay can and will refund your money directly through Paypal so there is no waiting for the seller to comply. It seems like on amazon you have zero power to hold the seller accountable.
