Looking For A Particular Bar Tape Type

I'm looking for a flat (non-padded) leather or simulated, bar tape for my '77 Colnago. My preference is black with gold accents. Have had zero success in finding this. Anybody have a lead on such a thing?

Is custom an option?

Man, you're going full Italian!

Check the Deda line.

Deda has some nice stitched and non-stitched leather look-alike.
Requires patience to wrap. Serious patience.

Fizik also has some, and though I don't like to admit it, Specialized has a black leather-look that is lightly padded and looks great, works great. Such a bummer when the big "bad" guys get it right, but that's how they got to be the big "bad" guys.

I think my son has that Specialized bar tape. Slightly padded, black and leather-like. I'm not going look any further. This is my "gentleman's racer" for Fridays, events and such.

If you want to keep it Italian, you can go with Ambrosio Bike Ribbon.

Best tape I have found in black is the shimano pro digital. It slaps all over lizard skins for half the price and has a much smoother leatherlike profile

Cinelli cork ribbon or nothing for me it is on all my road bikes,
as they all have Cinelli bars and stems, it just seemed appropriate,
plus it is comfortable and looks nice,

This won the choice. I like the Cinelli logo embedded and will match the bars and stem.

Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

Cork doesn't hold up very well for me. Is close to my last resort.

For me, it's coton or leather tape. I've have cork on the Davidson tandem and don't much care for it. I'll probably wrap it with coton or leather in the future.

Whoops, there it is....my fingers fit the grooves, and yes, I wrap tighter than some people think I should. I want to feel stuff sometimes.

Cork's cool and classy looking!
Too bad Cinelli's latest versions sold under the "Art Tape" moniker, is double the price of their previous plain cork tapes...
I think I'll stock up on their plain white cork tapes which at still sold at the old prices at eBay.....
