Help identifying a Miyata.

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you could tell me what year/model this Miyata is.

No pic of the drive-side and I can't make out a model name on the top tube.

Thanks!

Here's a link to the Miyata Bike Catalogs:
Miyata Bicycle Catalogs

You can look up the date codes on the components to narrow down the year, presuming the components are original to the bike. Will help narrow it down.

It's a 1988 312.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I don't have the bike. Somebody is trying to sell it, but they've been difficult to get ahold of so far. Just trying to figure out what the bike is so I can determine whether to try to get in contact with the seller again or not. I've looked through some of those catalogs, and still couldn't figure it out.

Was hoping somebody may recognize the color scheme or something.

I have an '87 Miyata One Twelve Mixte with brazed on down tube shifters. Not as high up the totem pole as the 312, bit I love it. If you decide to buy it post photos.

While not a high end bike, I really liked riding my 312. Looking back, I wished I hadn't sold it.

No such thing as too many Miyatas.

This is frustrating.. The guy has gone ghost. All he listed was a phone number and I've called a couple times and left a VM... and nothing. Really like the look of this bike.

Anybody want to take a stab at guessing the frame size? I can't tell by a picture, but some of you seem like you can lol. I remember I was looking at a Prelude and somebody said it looked big, and they were dead on. I still couldn't even tell after the fact by looking at the pic.
