That spoke has been replaced AOK. All will be well after I true the wheel. Someone pointed out that the holes in the hub did not have the edge rounded over on one side to stress relieve the angle in the spoke head. Upon close inspection I found the spoke had failed right at the head - not at the curved section. Just old age I hope.
I had mentioned my lack of sleep Friday night after the rain fly failed on my Kelty tent - let about a quart of water into the tent during the thunder storm. Lots of my stuff got wet and I actually had to bail out the tent. Well, I talked to Kelty today and its covered. "Send us the fly and we'll either fix it or replace it.". Nice.
Great to meet everyone, great riding on a very nice trail thru pretty country, great conversations, tough keeping up with ed when he's doing intervals on the trail, great cookies and great weather. I cannot wait until the next one. I'm told that the weather is just perfect for every CCRT.
Oh, and very nice riding Thursday on the Farmington Heritage trail north of New Haven and Friday on the Shining Sea trail between North Falmouth and Woods Hole. Just a real fine trip all together.
And, yes, I'm back on the grid.

Just a little follow up .. I mentioned I tried OTG's Brooks Cambium saddle and found it quite comfortable. I ordered one early last week and it came quick enough for me to ride with it on the CCRT on Saturday .. we only did 20 miles but I experienced no discomfort whatsoever. Here's a snapshot before I mounted it on my Paramount:

I ordered the "Rust" color to match my leather bar tape ... I know there are modern saddles out there that could match the comfort (also cheaper) but I think it was a good way to retain some of the classic feel for the Paramount.
