Is this celeste or metallic celeste?
Hand was a little shaky, just finished a long first ride. So, excuse the blurry pic.
I purchased the bike last week. The color seems very light compared to other Bianchi Celeste models when you look at it in the daylight. Might this be a Metallic Celeste?
Bike we think is an 89-90
Equipped with Campy Chorus (I think they came out in 89). So it has period correct parts.
SLX tubbing
Gippeme droputs
Line through the Bianchi (ugly IMO)
Delta Brakes
Or did Bianchi change the Celeste formula for this year? In the picture it appears like celeste but up close has a slight pearl.

I was under the impression that Bianchi celeste has come in many shades over the years. I could be wrong of course but it sure seems like it has fluctuated over the years quite a bit.

Can't remember the name but a friend had a early 90's Superleggere with Chorus in that shade.

Interesting, so It looks like it was a Celeste paint. I have to say that the original paint from the 70-80's was sexy on a bike. This celeste is subdued and nothing special to look at.
I wonder if I should repaint-or detail it some.
Well after looking around I came across this bike. This was listed as a Metallic Celest, so my bike was just another version of the celest. The bike I believe belongs to BianchiGirl from our forum.

It is metallic Celeste. I wouldn't think about painting that bike, if you don't like it sell it to someone that likes metallic Celeste. If you prefer a darker shade try using it on all the accents like Celeste bar tPe, bottle cages, saddle and tires. I have a Bianchi in this colour and love it.
