St. Sheldon's website is amazing. What I also think is admirable on the part of Shimano is that their innovations build on old standards. Rarely do they make something that relegates all past versions to he dust bin. It makes business sense too - saves money. Like the fact that UG locking sprockets fit standard thread for freewheels and bottom brackets. Fun way to make a cheap fixie - UG threaded sprocket and a BB lock ring.
I like the simplicity of UG sprockets and they have a nice aesthetic. I'll be sad when they finally all wear out.
