I can't tell you much about the authenticity but I can tell you the frame itself is a pretty low-end bike. Stamped dropouts, steel wheels, stamped steel crankset all point towards a lower end model, though it does seem like a mishmash of parts. Bianchi did make some bikes with stamped dropouts in the bike-boom era but unless this was almost free I'd pass on it.

Bikes: Current favorites: 1988 Peugeot Birraritz, 1984 Gitane Super Corsa, 1980s DeRosa, 1981 Bianchi Campione Del Mondo, 1992 Paramount OS, 1988 Colnago Technos, 1985 RalieghUSA SBDU Team Pro

Don't let a pretty face fool you...

It's a "dolled up" low end model. This looks like an Asian made bike. I've never seen those kind of decals on a Bianchi before???

The frame and wheels are the most IMPORTANT parts of a sporting bike. This is an entry level frame probably made of heavy "gas pipe" tubing. It will have a dead clunky ride compared to a lighter frame made of thinner walled alloy steel tubing.

It's going to weigh at least 30 Lbs. Nice riding bikes with alloy steel tubing and aluminum alloy rims should weigh ~25 lbs. or less in that size.

Steel rims are a deal killer for me! Don't try to stop if they get wet!!!

Unless that price is right (read free) then I'd pass on it.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.

Yup, very cheap bike in very nice condition. If I didn't know any better, I could probably live with everything but the steel wheels; those are a deal breaker in my damp corner of the USA. (VERY poor breaking when wet). If you ride it and you really like it, $50-80 would be reasonable, but you'll be missing out on a lot if you don't aim quite a bit higher.

I concur w/ everyone else on this thread, even though I am normally a rabid Bianchi fan.
