Cog wear illustration

So I want to try out a new bike. I through on a large range freewheel on a spare wheel and try it out. Serious skipping, almost unrideable. 2nd and 3rd cogs. After checking the chain I go to the freewheel and sure enough the the second cog is way off.

Anyway, I am never one to just go by visuals, I need to check it out. Although even I can tell that the 2nd cog is way off. But it isn't always easy for me to tell from looking, so I thought I would try do a visual illustration. Photos aren't as good as I hope, but I think they illustrate how small the wear is before you start to see wear.

These are Dura Ace uniglide. The teeth are symmetrical side to side unlike hyperglide.

First 2nd cog - like I said very obvious when you look.

3rd position is not as worn, but you can still see the asymmetrical shape. And the teeth are narrower side to side
