For 40 some years I've been trying to decide on a design. First it was going to be the Rolling Stones tongue, then Monsieur ZigZag, then Mr. Natural, always on the upper arm. Now I think if I get one it will be a partial chain ring print on my right calf. And maybe Mr. Natural too.

Bikes: It's complicated.
Wow, I guess being a C&V means you probably aren't inked up.
Seems like every carbon riding fred has one.

Most of the ones I see these days, mostly on young people, don't do a thing for me. Poorly done.
But every now again I see a real beauty. A woman who works for my eye doctor has a very artistic
Japanese style water scene. Gorgeous, and very well done.
Most folks just overdo it, me thinks. A small, descreet tat is OK by me.

I was gonna get one in my 20s, but didnt. Was gonna get one when I turned 50, but didn't. Maybe when the fad fades I'll get one that has meaning to me. One on each arm.
However I have a 51 stitches scar though. And they say scars are like tattoos but with better stories. 14 were from an elbow, that's a good story too.

to actually respond to the original post... no tats myself, but if I were to get something C&V, it would have to be something by Daniel Rebour. I'd have to leaf through the Data Book for ideas as to what the best would be, but I'm going to guess that it involves Campy or TA... or maybe Stronglight??

Nope. Not according to current trend followers and the like.
But if I ever get one it'll be a tiger on my inside right forearm and a dragon on my inside left forearm . Like Cain in the C&V television series Kung Fu. Which stated my journey into the martial arts. Which I'm still on today.

I had a Rolling Stones Tongue on my shoulder at the age of 15. A needle and thread india ink job done by a friend. I had it covered up with a nice Rose with my wife`s name inside when I was 35 or so. Then all of my friends complained that I no longer had the Stones tongue. So I got a good looking professional Stones tongue on my other shoulder now.

One of several: You'll find a thunderbird on my right shoulder, taken straight from the label of... you guessed it! A bottle of Thunderbird wine.
Ahhhh, youth.

Tattoos are certainly not my cup of tea. Using primitive 19th century technology to permanently burn an image into your skin sounds like nothing but regret. I certainly hope all you fools that do it, I wish you you the very best of whatever outcome you have.
