Bikes: LESS than I did a year ago!

Tats involve needles...I deal with enough of those for my health!

The best image of a C&V tattoo is Herve Villechaize?

Worst thread ever.

Some version of this would be mine, and it's not C&V. Just the bike.
I did, but I only ended up with this:

How about a tattoo of Herve on your arm? Under it they could write "the plane, boss!"

And you will never hear a word from me saying you should not have had those tattoos done. The fact that I prefer not to ink myself is a different question. Hey. it's those kind of differences that make the world interesting.

Sorry but popularity and public perception are personal hangups and not real 'coolness' barometers.
Tatoos are just as cool or uncool as ever.
Just like everything else, it's how legit you are. Not the item.
That's like saying mountain biking used to be edgy but not anymore...

bakes1 - yes, you are correct. It is simply my perception of what is "cool" or "edgy". I was speaking for myself. Tattoos seem to be more common now. I'm still not interested in having one.

I have a 7" long scar on my left arm from a bike accident that required a plate with 7 screws. I had thought of using the scar as base for a frame from a birds eye view of a bike so you would see the handlebars, saddle, crank pedals and stays with the scar being the top tube and wheels.

During the '90s it seemed like my friends were getting new tattoos every week, most of them pretty bad. I wasn't against them but never found anything that really spoke to me. Then in my early 30s I went through a major life change (new city, new career, new life) and I discovered an artist whose life and work I felt a connection to and had one of his abstract images tattooed on my upper arm. I almost never notice it now, it's just part of my body, like a birth mark or something. But every once in a while I'll notice it in the mirror, remember that time of my life when I got it done, and think about how far I've come since then. Tattoos can have deep meaning. I have no regrats, regerts, uh, regrets over mine.

No tats and no intent to get any. Growing up I saw all of my friends ex-navy dads, from WW2 and Korea, with their faded and blurred tattoos and that cured my desire to ever get one.

Bikes: yes please

What's more vintage than Morse Code right? My daughters are very close and have each others initials tattooed on their arms and want me to do the same. I'm thinking about it. One is left handed and the other right, so it's easy to pick a location.

I drew this as a potential tattoo.

Absolutely.

My USMC "tats" are due to indirect and direct fire, and a long-neck at the Driftwood Lounge outside LeJeuene's main gate.

Cool tribute. Nice subtle taste. I definitely like. I'll get mine one year, one on each arm just like you. However not a Morse code. Like the t-shirt too.
