C&V Fun Circa 1966

Old photo of me giving my little brother a ride on my uncle's bike. My cousin is chasing yelling "me next!" This was in 1966.

That's awesome! Do you still have that bike? I was wondering if you'd...Oh.., maybe not such a good idea.

What are the cars? A '64 Impala and a GTO?

Bikes: Classic road bikes: 1986 Cannondale, 1978 Trek

I think the first one is a Buick.

Wonderful photo. I think we all feel like this when we ride, but, keep it hidden, because, you know... people.
Thanks for posting this.

Bikes: 1962 Schwinn Paramount P12, 1971 Schwinn Paramount P13-9

'65 - '66 Olds I think. Buick would have had port-holes on the front fender. Rear one looks like a '65 GTO or Tempest.

Excellent, thanks for sharing it. That could just about be my big brother giving me a ride.

Thanks for the comments! Bikes should bring out the kid in all of us!

The cars were my grandparent's. A '66 Olds F85 and a '64 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Fun. There are scant few images of anyone on bikes in our family.
When I was racing, all the images I have are from spectators who came up and handed me a print at a later race. One was funny, It showed me winning the race for which I was rewarded second place, thanks Bob Tetzlaff, for the second place, not the image.
The problem of racing in Northern California when you are from LA.

I love this! I would have been the girl shouting, "I'm next"! My teenaged brothers used to ride me around like that when I was 4 or 5 years old. I recall my brother, John, riding me side saddle like that in our neighborhood trying to teach me how to say, "Kah-Reem Abdool Jabar" (I know that not how to spell it, but he'd sound it out for me). He played sports in school.
