Please help identify Shimano groupset

I just picked up another project...an Apollo Regent from the early 80's. Needs work but should be nice after refurbishment, this is a very lightweight bike (well for me at least)! 700c rims, I have already dropped the rear wheel at the LBS to rebuild it since the bearings were quite loose.

Anyhow, it's got Shimano components, no words other than Shimano, and a sorta trident-looking symbol. Doesn't appear in their '82 catalog unless I'm missing something:

Any good or did I just waste $40 (plus the LBS cost) on this bike?

Thanks! The cranks are not Shimano (they are Takagi AR-T) but the FD, RD, shifters (downtube) and brakes are the Golden Arrow. Looks like I did OK....

Takagi was where Mr Shimano apprenticed before starting his company, and then Shimano bought Takagi in the mid-80s, so you could say they're family.

That is first generation Shimano 105, also known as Golden Arrrow, it was manufactured 1983-1986 inclusive. Your Apollo should have an open code serial number (format, yy mm xxxxx) on the lower, non-drive of the seat tube. This will tell you the exact manufacturing date.
