Thanks! I'll look into that. I'll have to figure out how to seal it again, afterward, but that's doable.

Looking for: pair of REG red or chromed with red/white/blue stickered toestrap buttons.

Have: pair of grey Campy buttons:

Unused, never even had screws in them. I figure they're easily matched up for size at the local hardware store, so if yours are sans screws, no problem for me, I'll find a pair.

Thanks!

Campy English Pista cups (thin walled)

Anyone have a set of these in your parts bin? Looking for very clean, as the spindle is NOS. Or the equivalent in an Ofmega or other European manufacturer. $ or trade I've got a lot in the vintage parts bin(s) here - just ask ...

I've got a bunch of mountain LX 7spd shifters if you have a beat up XT with a good mount, as the mountain LX have that wacky exage stalk mount thingy.

ISO - alloy rims for 27x1 1/4 wheel rebuild.

I'm rebuilding a 74 Le Tour and the hub cup and cones are in such good shape I thought I'd try my hand at wheelbuilding. I'm trying to keep costs down on this project and thought I'd check here first for any good deals before I look retail. I don't really have any trade stock right now but I do have a little $ to trade.

ISO: Campagnolo SR pad holder. The one in the picture. Also, Gran Compe non-aero levers w/hoods. Drilled if possible.

You've probably already been told this, but 700c will open up a work of tie option to you and are quite easily found. If you have a co-op around, they'd probably pay you to take away 27" wheels.

Closest co-op is about 250 miles away. I thought about going 700 but I would like to avoid having to buy a brake set.

ISO 47-tooth Stronglight ring

I need a 46-tooth 122 BCD Stronglight ring in the venerable Model 93 pattern. I wouldn't turn down a 47, either.

I have trade goods.

My 77 Le Tour II came with 27" wheels and had no problem using 700 wheels. Do you have the Dia-Compe center pull brakes?

There's only 8mm difference in diameter from 27" to 700c. If you have 4mm of downward travel available on your brakes, you could do it with what you have. If not--or if you just want to stay original--you've got the right idea.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had been looking at a set of Dia-compe 5583 Center pulls I had polished up a while back that had the pads all the way to the bottom. When I looked at the set that originally came off the frame it's clear there's enough adjustment that 700 would work.

As this will be my first wheel build either size would be fine.

Rotten I like to use the 700 sized rims so I can increase the tire width. 27" will work too but the 23" frame size is at the limit of my fit.
With 700, I get a bigger tire and perfect touring fit.

ISO Downtube cable stop for bar cons. I'd prefer not to add the cable stops to a Downtube clamp.

So are you looking for a clamp-on cable stop, or the kind that attach to shifter bosses?

Foolish of me looking for A clamp-on stop that just has the cable ferrule stops on it, not the clamp on kind with shifter bosses.

This might be a long shot but I am looking for a Pinarello ARIA 1" carbon fork. The steer tube needs to be 9". I cracked mine on a surprise pothole at the bottom of a long decent. (cracked the top of steer tube)
