The other thread got too large and was having a hard time loading so lets start a fresh one.

ISO: Dia Compe large pulley-style brake cable yoke

Dia Compe Pulley 01.jpg

I am trying to find one (or two) of these Dia Compe large pulley-style brake cable yoke to complete my '84 Miyata 610.

I am looking for this model specifically, as I know there are other options available (like the Herse ones from Compass, and Gran Compe ones from Velo Orange) but I really want this larger wheel ones as I find they work alot better than the smaller wheel ones.

I am too far from the city, and there is no used bicycle shops or co-ops around with stacks of parts bins to rummage through for hours in hopes of finding a little gem like this for a song. Help me Bike Forums!

I only have one and its in rough shape, but still works fine. I would be interested in just one or a pair, in used but usable (or better) condition, with OR without the cable fixing bolt and acorn nut (those are easy to find).

I have a good collection of small parts in my bin and I am also open to trades for something of equal value that can help you out like this little piece would help me out. Let me know!

That may be so, but how do you know you don't need it until you check it out?

Bikes: '92 Trek 750, '85 Univega Gran Turismo, '95 Stumpjumper,

WTT: I have a black Thomson Elite 26.8x330 seatpost and would like a silver one - can be shorter. Mine is in very good condition. I could also go for something by Nitto.
Thanks!

Edit - Found one!

ISO-FOR A GOOD CAUSE

26x1-3/8" Coaster Brake Wheel

I am giving a bike to a friend who does not have a car. She needs a coaster because she does not have hand strength for hand brakes.

I have a bike but the rear hub is toast and the brake doesn't work well enough to be safe.

Cosmetics not too important as long as Chrome > Rust.

Anybody have a wheel they can donate? I'm happy to pay for shipping.

I'm pretty sure I have a rim and a hub, but you'd have to figure out the spoke length and build the wheel.

Bikes: 1973-4 Gitane Tour de France, early 1970's Lejeune, 1970 Italvega Super Speciale, 2010 Surly Long Haul Trucker 26

I'm still searching for the elusive 25-tooth Suntour freewheel cog--the four-spline version that fits Perfect and New Winner bodies, and probably others as well.

I would offer my first-born child, but at this point I have been looking so long that he's 32 years old. Therefore, he's unlikely to go along with such an exchange. But I have other trade items, including other Suntour cogs and bodies.

I know somebody up in NH who reconditions old bikes for people to use as transportation. He may be willing to donate a wheel if he has one. I'll email him tonight. I forget exactly where he is, but as I recall he is where I would generically list as central NH.

do you need gold or silver? I've got a couple that I can part with.

I've got other cogs available too, just in case there is interest.

Very specific trade request here: I've got a 1975 Bic orange Motobecane Champion Team with full Campy and some normal patina, looking to trade for a Moulton space frame APB or similar bike. Anyone able to help with a lead?

Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately I don't have enough time in my life right now to build a wheel.

Bikes: '73 Mondia Special, '73 Frejus TDF, '84 Gitane Rallye Tandem, '85 Trek (Custom) 660, 85/86 Gitane Professional, and a few more!

ISO 80's era 1" threaded headset to complete my 'new' vintage Trek show bike. Suntour GPX would be gold, but open to suggestions. Want a non-marred lock nut, a clean headset. Have a little stuff to trade or $reen. Thanks

note: unable to PM please use chainolakescyclist@gmail.com
