I am still interested in the better condition brake arms, however.

Good news on the mixup. Brake arms are on the way to you. Enjoy.

Hey folks - looking for a Suntour Winner, Sachs, Shimano600 or DA 28T freewheel or something of that grade - prefer 6s or 7 (ideal) but could work with an 8. Have a lot in the parts bin(s) if you're looking for something. Thanks, Mike

Thanks, but I'm looking specifically for a 28 - derailleur won't handle a 30. But let me know how much the 30 would be shipped to PA. May have use for it on another bike.

Have a pair of black and gold, think they're branded Gipiemme. If interested, I'll send you pics.

I'm fairly sure I've got a short cage 1st Gen Cyclone in the bin. Or are you looking for the long cage?

Have a short cage Gen1 very early Cyclone. Project it was going on never manifested. All aluminum, no black fill where lettering is. You're looking to send a GT version of Gen1 in exchange for the short cage version? Or buy outright? Can exchange pics if interested.

Thanks. I should have asked for PMs.... BF has come through with a number of offers. I'll go through them in order received. If the first doesn't pan out, I'll get back to other potential benefactors.

ISO:

Need 18 x 293mm 1.8mm spokes. Can be straight gauge or butted. Must be silver/chrome/bright. Cannot be black. If you have the nipples to go with, even better.

I'm quite certain I have some straight gauge SS 293mm but not sure if they're 1.8 or 2.0. I'll confirm tomorrow.

I have 75 - 294 x 1.8. I believe straight gauge. Picked them up at a swap meet, but usually use 2.0s. Dont recall brand, but either wheelsmith or dt. Should have brass nipples.

Thanks for the offer. I had still been considering some other options and as a result, my need for the tool pretty much went away. The Maillard freewheel basically worked but there was a lot of "wander" in its operation. I was considering just replacing it with an old but in good condition Shimano I had on hand so I brought the wheel into the LBS and had them remove it. They were nice enough to do it for free (for the second time). They were in total agreement that replacing it with the Shimano was the best way to go and they said the Maillard freewheels tended to have that wander even when they were new.

I got the replacement freewheel on and everything adjusted and everything runs great now and the Maillard will be relegated to a paperweight.

I have tons of handlebars and brake calipers to offer and a whole lot of other low- and mid-level stuff.

I'm looking for a rear wheel to rebuild my Raleigh Super Course. I'm going to spread the rear to 130mm. I have the rest of the drivetrain ready, a 3x8 Claris setup. I tried to build a wheel with a Formula hub I found lying around and an old MA3 rim. It turns out I got spokes too long, and I don't think the rim is true. I can't tell how much each factor led to the project's failure, but I think I should start over.

So *I think* I'm looking for a 700c wheel with 130mm spacing and room for an 8-speed cassette. If you have suggestions for something other than this, I'm open.

I'll be using one of those prebuilt dynamo front wheels, so I'm good for the front.

Just to verify. Are you looking for a wheel or the materials to build? You say cassette so I am assuming not a freewheel. I have a Shimano 600 freewheel hub (6207) space 130 that you could have for a pittance if it fits your needs.

@ IrishBrewer, Thanks for getting back on this. I got the tool from Biketoolsetc and did the same thing you did with an old shimano frewheel. Had to get a tool for that too since it was pre '85. Cheers!

Good questions, and it reminded me of my thinking. I always prefer to build my own wheels, but if a ready-made wheel is available, I have to consider it. I already have some spokes of various lengths, though the likelihood of them being of the right lengths isn't great. I have a 36h rim I can use. I have this 32h Formula hub but I don't know if it's a good one, and I'm thinking I ought to use a hub that's likely to last a long time, like at least 105 quality.

So I'm looking for

- a 36h hub or
- a 32h rim or
- a complete cassette hub wheel with either 32 or 36 spokes.

I went onto the vendor web sites, and these hubs have gotten rare with the advent of thru-axles! Or maybe I don't know where I should be looking.

Ideas?

Anybody got one tossed away in a bin?
