ISO a pair of crank bolts, plain and simple.

Would a pair of Campag Record bolts work for your needs Jim? PM me if they will do the trick and I’ll get them headed up your way, most riki-tik.

Hey all,
I picked up a 1988 Davidson Discovery over the weekend that I plan to ride in Eroica CA. I missed the "soft" year cutoff by one (they suggest 1987 or older) but I think it's fine, but I do want to do some component swapping. Anybody have any of this stuff sitting around?

- Pedals with clips/straps
- Downtube friction shifters. I'd happily trade the barcons, but the left one is missing a piece (but still works normally)
- Non-aero brake levers. I could trade the Tri Color levers that are on it now
- Silver handlebar in 42cm or 44cm. I'd be happy to trade the one on it now
- The crankset is a half-step + granny...not my thing, I'd like to find something more standard
- Brooks B17 narrow, B17, or Pro (or something comparable) with copper rivets and some patina
- This thing needs some tan wall tires. Compass or similar in 700x28 or 700x30 would be nice
- A more classic looking rear derailleur that can handle that 11-32 8 speed cassette.

I have some nifty Dia Compe levers with quick release. If that was my crankset, I would just swap the rings, but I do have a 6200 series crankset (with biopace!).

ISO drop frame bike for of equal quality, value. This bike is 8 or so years old and may have less than 50 miles on it. Due to health issues/age this lady wants a drop bar ladies frame of similar function. The tires still have nubs and is of perfect riding function. All documents & lifetime tune-ups.Cost $560 new. What is comparable in a ladies frame? An even fair trade with the assumption its still holds at least 1/2 its "new" value.

What size? Also, when you say ladies frame, do you mean a frame without a horizontal top tube? City bike? hybrid? Lightweight? Mountain Bike?

She is 5'4" The horizontal tube is a hassle for her. I am not savvy on common frame measurements. From the center of the bottom brkt. to the top of the seatpost clamp is 17 1/2" give or take a 1/8th". she has a good 8" of seat post out sticking out of the frame. She is looking for her documents to verify. It is the San Anselmo model. Other than the horizontal bar she likes this bike quite a bit.

I think a city bike would fit her needs well.

No worries. I don't have anything that fits the bill, but hopefully there's enough to go on so that someone has a better chance to help out.

ISO - Left Dura-Ace 9sp brake/shift lever. Shimano 600 tricolor cranks. The shorter the better for the cranks. They're for a 5'2" rider who's new to cycling. Did those come in 165mm or just 170/175?

There's a 165mm set of 6400 cranks on eBay. Not saying you should buy these ones specifically, but they exist. :thumb:

Looking for a pair of dust caps for Suntour Cyclone pedals. 1985 track pedals, if that matters.
Have a fair collection of stuff available for trade; I'm sure we can find something you need.
Thanks! :thumb:

Trade-

3rd gen. GB Coureur 66 brakes (these have the single spring vs. earlier independent springs) long reach FOR your short reach. These are fully serviced and nice condition though yours don't have to be, just decent and complete. Not really enticed for the early versions with those pesky springs.

Also, if you're not interested in my GB brakes, lets talk on what you need. Thank you-

ISO thin axle washers (ideally about 0.5mm thick) for a front hub with an 8mm axle. Due to limited choice in replacement cones, I've got a front hub that is now a couple mm too wide, and I'd like to get it back down to 100mm. Thanks!
