I purchased 4 of those headsets from another source for close to $70 and still considered them a bargain at that price ! - good stuff

IMO the Stronglight A9 cartridge headset is an even better deal.

After getting frustrated with rapid wearing HG73 chains, I decided to snag a couple of the Ribble Campy 9 chains. I've got one in use now. So far it seems to be working well. I suppose I should measure it soon.
I'll look at those headsets. My latest build used a Ritchey Scuzzy Logic 1" threadless headset with sealed cartridge bearings.
I have no problem with going forward a bit with technology, and am happy to try sealed cartridge bearings rather than loose bearings. Although, I will admit that my old Colnago has decades old loose bearings, showing a lot of wear, but still seems to ride nicely.

Am I the only one who thinks that the way "RECORD" is written on the locknut looks cheap?

I had that last remaining A9 in my shopping cart yesterday, but decided not to pull the trigger.
